Demo only

A taste of your proposal.

This is a shortened demonstration for an invented business, not a full client proposal or a quote. It gives you a feel for how we explain a project. Your own proposal will go into much more detail about functionality, scope, costs and a realistic schedule.

Demo only: shortened example, not a full specification

Orders & Waste Tracker

Prepared for Fernside Bakery, an invented family-run wholesale bakery. Prepared by Appy. All figures are illustrative and are not a quote for your project.

1. What you told us

Fernside bakes for around 40 cafes and shops. Orders arrive by phone, text and email, get copied onto a whiteboard, and are retyped into a spreadsheet at the end of the week. That costs about two hours a day, and on two Fridays last month a wholesale order was missed entirely. You'd like the orders in one place and a clear view of what waste is costing you.

2. What we'll build

One app, in your branding, that does one job properly: every order in one place, and waste you can actually see.

  • ✓Every order in one place: phone, text and email orders logged as they come in, by whoever takes them. No retyping, no whiteboard.
  • ✓Tomorrow's bake list: totals by product, updated automatically as orders arrive.
  • ✓Waste logged at the end of each day, with a plain-English note on what it's costing you.
  • ✓A weekly numbers screen: what sold, what was wasted and what it cost, readable on your phone in one glance.

These are headline features only. Your full proposal will explain how each feature works: screens and workflows, who can see or change what, data and integrations, exceptions, and how we check the app does what you need. It will also set out what is included, what is excluded and what we need from you.

Your proposal can include sketches of your own screens, informed by our discussions. Sketches are representations, not built functionality. The screens below are illustrative examples from other Appy projects, not screens for this bakery or a promise of what your app will look like:

3. The plan: an agreed schedule

These stages show the process, not a promised turnaround. We schedule projects alongside existing client work, so sending us a message or accepting a proposal does not mean an immediate start.

  1. Stage 1Agree the detail: We confirm workflows, functionality, data and responsibilities, then agree a start date around our existing commitments and your availability.
  2. Stage 2Build & review: We build the agreed features and share progress at planned review points, with time to discuss feedback.
  3. Stage 3Test properly: We test the app, and your team checks it against real working scenarios. We allow time to resolve issues before launch.
  4. Stage 4Launch & handover: Once the agreed checks are complete, we arrange launch, a team walkthrough and the agreed support period.

We confirm the start date and estimated duration after understanding the functionality, complexity, integrations and testing required. The schedule also allows for your feedback and any third-party dependencies. We work efficiently, but never skip proper testing to meet an eye-catching deadline.

4. The price: one fixed figure

For this example project: £1,650. That covers the build, testing, launch, importing your existing spreadsheet, the team walkthrough and 30 days of support, meaning help getting your team comfortable with it, small display tweaks and fixes. No hourly billing, and the figure only changes if you ask us to change the scope.

Hosting: £49 a month for an app like this, covering management, monitoring, routine maintenance and email support. Usage costs such as AI calls or payment fees are billed at cost through accounts in your name. Changes and new work are quoted separately. We confirm the likely figure before you commit.

Nothing is payable until you've read this, asked everything you like, and said go.

5. What we need from you

Time with whoever takes the orders, your product list and prices, and someone from your team to review and test the app at agreed points. Your full proposal sets out these responsibilities and when we need your input.

6. What's not in this price

Anything we haven't discussed, so there are no surprises. If you later want the app connected to your accounts package, we'll quote that separately before any work starts.

Fixed price · Built and supported in the UK by our own team · Nothing outsourced · Privacy taken seriously, NDA on request

Why we write it this way

One fixed price

The number in the proposal is the number you pay. No hourly billing, no surprises halfway through.

Built by real people

Our UK team designs and builds every app from scratch, in-house. Nothing outsourced, and no rogue AI agents doing their own thing.

Nothing payable yet

You read the proposal, ask anything you like, and only pay once you've said go. If it isn't right, we rework it or you walk away.
